On June 1 and 2, Spire hosted its annual Partner Conference at the conveniently located White Oaks Resort in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The full Resounding team was able to attend, making it a great opportunity to learn, connect, and enjoy a change of scenery that did not involve anyone's usual office chair.
The Partner Conference is a significant event for Spire, with their entire team in attendance. For us, it was a valuable chance to speak directly with Spire management, development, and support teams, as well as connect with other Spire partners from across the country.
A key part of the conference was learning sessions led by the Spire team. They covered a wide range of practical topics, including Spire setup, inventory, sales, pricing, and more – the kind of material that may not sound glamorous, but can make a real difference when you are trying to get the most from your system.
We also appreciated the chance to learn from other Spire partners. Hearing their experiences and perspectives on financials, sales, implementations, and client needs gave us plenty of useful takeaways to bring back to our own clients.
Additional sessions explored sales and marketing, comparisons with other ERP software, and the Spire API – proof that even technical topics can spark good discussion when the room is full of people who genuinely care about business systems.
One partner session featured our own Derek, presenting “Implementation Nightmares” (make of that title what you will). Thankfully, the session was more helpful than horrifying, offering practical dos and don'ts for Spire migrations and implementations.
Take a SIP
One topic that featured prominently at the conference was SIPs – Spire Integration Partners. These third-party integrations connect with Spire to unlock added functionality. After the conference, we reached out to several SIPs we believe could provide real value to our clients, including:
- Ingrid (AI Tools)
- Global Payments (payment processing – credit and debit cards)
- Sovereign Shelf (electronic shelf tags)
- SwiftCount (warehouse and inventory management)
