Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026

This policy explains how Resounding Software Inc. (“Resounding”, “we”, “us”) — an Ontario, Canada company — collects, uses, and protects personal information on resounding.ca, including the TradeFlow pages. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect, and why

Contact form

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, optional company name, and your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. Messages are delivered to us by email via SendGrid (Twilio Inc.), our email service provider.

Waitlist and email sign-ups

When you join the TradeFlow waitlist or request a resource (such as the Canadian Small-Crew Payroll Kit), we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name. We use this to send you the resource you asked for and to tell you about TradeFlow availability.

Express consent (CASL). We only add you to an ongoing mailing list if you tick the consent checkbox. When you do, we record the date, time, and page where consent was given. Every marketing email we send identifies Resounding Software Inc., includes our mailing address, and contains a working unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time by using that link or by emailing us; we act on unsubscribe requests promptly.

If you don’t tick the box, we send you only the transactional email you requested (for example, your download link or a confirmation that you’re on the waitlist).

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. It collects aggregate usage data (pages visited, referrer, country, device type) without cookies and without tracking you across sites. IP addresses are not stored. Because Plausible sets no cookies, no cookie banner is required for it.

Advertising conversion measurement

In the future, our post-signup “thanks” pages may include a Google Ads conversion tag so we can tell that an ad led to a sign-up. If and when we enable it, that tag may set cookies subject to Google’s privacy policy, and we will update this policy and add any consent mechanism the law requires at that time.

What we don’t do

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate this site: SendGrid (Twilio Inc.) for transactional email and our mailing list, Plausible Analytics for cookieless analytics, and our hosting provider. These providers may process data outside Canada (for example, in the United States or the European Union). We use reputable providers with strong security practices and limit what we share to what each service needs.

Retention

We keep contact-form messages as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our business records. Mailing-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Consent records are kept as evidence of compliance for as long as CASL requires.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with providers that encrypt data at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at cliffe@resounding.ca and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
